Water Waves Speed, etc. ?

Hello,

Would like to know the wavelength and wave propagation velocity for a very
simple case of, e.g., a rock being dropped into a very deep, infinitely
large, container. I assume the water depth and container size are such
that they do not impact the result.

I can find all sorts of equations and theory for deep and shallow ocean
waves, but nothing for this simple case.

Anyone point me to a link that derives this ?

Thanks,
Bob
