Is it possible to make the earth go farther from sun and so make the

Earth is moving away from the Sun as I type, but only an inch a year.

Funny, I thought it was 3,000,000 miles in 6 months then 3,000,000 miles
back again. But then you are too stupid to understand elliptical orbits.
*plonk*

| orbit, not actually elliptical, etc.

| If you can understand "net motion".

You bounced radar off the Sun to measure it, did you?
Or perhaps you measured it a million years ago and found
it was 15.78 miles closer, using your trusty ex recto steel tape,
now rusty, and then divided by a million and converted to metric?
Or was it the slowdown in the Sun's rotation that you measured
as angular momentum was transferred?
Add those to list of things I don't believe, Poe, like buses taking
longer to stop than cars because your DoT says so.
(The Highway Code uses the same distances for buses and cars.)

I can see a war coming with the Ministry of Transportation taking
on the Department of Transport over which end of an egg should
be opened first. Are you a Big-Endian or a Little-Endian?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endianness
Big-Endian / Little-Endian
two factions within Lilliputian society:
Big-Endians break their eggs at the larger end ("the primitive way"), while
the Emperor commanded all his subjects to break the smaller end. Resistance
by traditionalists and their subsequent suppression by the government had
resulted in civil unrest. The Big-Endian faction had the support of
neighboring Blefuscu, a further source of friction between the traditional
enemies. Thus Swift satirizes the suppression of Catholics that had racked
England and subject nations from the reign of Henry VIII to Swift's own
time.
