| I could use a toothed brass wheel and link chain if you want to make
| one. The clock was missing the mainspring, and I want to power it with
| a weight and chain instead of the spring. It would need a brass wheel
| about 3 inch diameter with approprate teeth to match the chain and a
| square hole in the center to match the winding key, about 1/8 inch
| square.
|
| I paid $5 for the clock, I'll give you $10 for the drive wheel.

I'm a consultant engineer, Bill, not a scrap metal merchant, and whilst
I fully understand and appreciate your interest in horology and would
encourage you to further your hobby as a clock maker, necessary parts
are best made with standard workshop equipment such as lathes,
milling machines and gear cutters. I can direct you to web sites where
you can obtain such equipment. (For a fee, of course.)
This you can have for free:

I'd recommend you buy the chain ready made, though, unless
you plan on making it long enough to go around the Moon and
avoid having to wind the clock at all.
