I could use some help from you physicists. I have a flash unit for
photography
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/246867-REG/SP_Systems_SPS100_SP100_Flash_w_AC_Line.html
that sits on a stand, fires off a flash (then recycles) for studio
photography. It is pretty small (4 inch diameter, 6 inch long,
cylindrical); it runs off my 110v normal home outlet. It is stated to
be "70 watt/sec" but I do not have a clue what that means as far as
how many watts it uses.
WATTS = AMPS x VOLTAGE
AMPS = WATTS / VOLTAGE
What I want to figure out is how many amps it draws, for purposes of
figuring out how much of a portable power battery pack I need to buy
for using this flash unit on location such as at a beach photographing
a model, e.g. something like this

Can anybody help?
.
