Re: Slap n' tickle

The only thing you are doing, is taking data into that virtual machine
across a virtual wall and removing data across that wall to your host
pc.
The browser is not the message.
You don't have your mail box in your living room. You have it outside,
and data flows to your front door, and then, you bring it into the
house. You do not let the entire world into your house. You lock your
door.

So ok firstly you have data flow.
The data flows to your door, and you check its content, and if you
deem it suitable, you bring it in to your host pc.
One computer, its just that you are using a virtual computer which
sits on your desktop, and your browser is inside of it.
And it is in contact with the Internet, but your pc and your good safe
data, is not accessible from the Internet.
To get data from your virtual machine to your host pc, you have to
transfer the data through a file sharing process.
You open a door, pass the data through, then close the door.
Same in reverse to put things on the Internet.
You take data from your host pc, an image as an example, drag it onto
your virtual desktop window, and transfer that data to your virtual
pc, then from there you use your browser to put it on the net.
Your host pc and all your data, your private stuff remains as private
as your own closet or office desk in your office.

Your virtual pc will collect data as you download and you can leave it
there and use it there. It is a computer unto itself your virtual pc,
but if you want to keep data safe, don't leave it on the driveway, or
on your front porch.

So data flows to your door, then you bring it into your house. You
have deemed it safe as per censorship along your own guidelines and
safe from viruses etc.

Then you need to store it in a way that makes it easy to find, and
well the folder system works well enough everyone uses it.
But searching can take a bit of time although that is improving, but a
better filing system is probably needed.

Living room, den, bed room, garage, music room, kitchen, library
apartment, house, garage, office, business
city
country
planet
solar system
galaxy
universe.

There is nothing you can't fit into that simple catalog.
And if you wanted to find your music, would you then need to search
several gazillion files or simply look in your music room?

Do you need to enforce it, so people put things away?
If you make it easy, as easy to get at their music room as any other
folder, why would they put their music just anywhere, if it fits so
nicely in their music room?

So its efficient storage of data, by design. It mimics the every day
world.
Recipes? Kitchen.
Porn?
Bedroom.
Its not rocket science.
Rocket science?
Office? That would depend on you really and so the system is user
defined to a degree, but if you get the user to do that, right away,
and not just dump everything into my documents New Folder, or
everywhere on numerous harddrives, you will find it faster and
retrieve it faster.
the torrent system can find things fairly quickly by database, but if
you have the file name, the name of the torrent, then you will find it
faster with google.

So those two things alone would represent a vast improvement to the
computing system.
proper data flow into your pc, and proper storage.
The speed that data arrives is less important than is this the data I
am looking for?
So better ways of insuring the data is the correct type, and the
correct data, and not a forgery or fake or part of an attack is also
important.
Its not really an issue with the torrents because the users themselves
will tell each other if a torrent is a fake.
You have people, the peer process, checking the data and reporting its
integrity as it happens.
P2P like kazaa didn't really have that. And so that is partially why
they were so vulnerable.
