So then if it takes 40 minutes to move 4 gigabytes of data from one
place on your harddrive to another, what good will it do you, to be
able to download even 4 gigabytes of data in 2 seconds?
If the fastest you could download 4 gigabytes of data to your
harddrive is 40 minutes because it will only write the data that fast,
then we are really not far from there at present with the average pc
owner.
Yes Windows is responsible for moving the data slowly from place to
place but that is still the reality of the situation.
As I said cable companies today, are throttling back your Internet
speed. They can at this moment deliver it to you faster than they do.
They choose instead to give you a limit on how fast and how much data
they will deliver to you.
So go fast as hell and you still won't get there any faster at your
destination.
So what is the solution?
True flash technology.
When you write to your phone card, it takes 40 minutes to move 1
gigabyte of music to it.
Well, that is insane because true flash technolgy should move images,
of 0's and 1's 1 gig at a flash.
How quickly can you take a picture of a block of black and white dots
in a grid?
30 a second, so your harddrive should be able to move 30 gig a second.
If you are just moving data. If you are reading data and making sense
of it, then you have to process the content.
But to just bulk move data, you only need to move a snapshot of that
data in a large block.
Its like an old fashioned scanner, uses scan lines across the page.
Even Kodak, was not taking pictures of their paper in order to scan
their documents. They were using the old fashioned scan line
technology.
How fast can you scan documents with a scanner, and how fast can you
take pictures of documents?
So then how fast can you flash data and move it by fiber optics to ram
memory, and then flash it at its destination?
