Why is Al Gore wrong about rising sea water?

Hi,
In Inconvenient Truth. Al Gore stated that if the Antarctica Ice
melted,
the ocean water would rise enough to engulf the coastlines. But many
scientists dismiss the claim. How come? If you go underwater in
the bathtub, the water level would rise, how come the same thing
won't happen in the ocean if the Antarctica ice melted?? Thanks.
