According to a scientist, Tom Davidson, Al Gore and global
warming is all BS.
Lets' look at Algore (the inventor of the internet and AGW) in
detail. Fact one: Algore is a politician. He ran for president,
remember? He couldn't even carry his OWN state! (Because of his lies
about his position on gun control).
Question: How can you tell when a politician is lying?
Answer: Their lips are moving!
Obviously global warming which is to say a warming climate change can
melt ice. There is observed much ice melting near the north pole. That
can raise sea levels. The south pole story is often used as a scare
tactic, however, because one side is melting and the other side is
increasing. So selective reporting creates the story you want.
So the bottom line on this is that climate change is real. It's going
on now and has gone on forever. However, it is NOT understood in any
detail. Therefore the causes of it are not known. Indeed climate
change (warming) has been observed on other planets where there is not
an SUV in sight.
But now comes the BS part. Algore and those with a financial stake in
"carbon footprint credits" and all the rest of the efforts to smash
the first world economy do a clever 'bait and switch" on the public.
First they talk about the reality of climate change, and then without
taking a breath they jump to man made "greenhouse gases" CO2 in
particular as the "cause" of global warming. In fact they coined the
word Anthropogenic Global Warming which means "man-generated" global
warming so that by staking out the terminology ahead of time, they put
themselves in a position to win any later arguments simply by
definition!
While the "anthropogenic" thing may or may not be a lie (we don't know
the factors that cause global warming, remember?) one thing we DO know
is a lie is that climate change in general or Global warming in
particular is caused by man-made CO2 production. Indeed, spectroscopy
easily demonstrates that the "greenhouse effect" is minor and CO2
absolutely cannot contribute to it in any meaningful way. The CO2 IR
bands simply can't absorb enough energy. Methane has a greater effect
and water vapor even more, but all are quite minor. But the cute lie
that Algore and company won the Nobel prize with was the plots
relating CO2 and Ocean temperature! He falsely claimed that soaring
CO2 concentrations were warming the oceans through the bogus
"greenhouse" effects. In truth just the opposite is true. The
temperature of the ocean determines how much dissolved CO2 it can hold
(think cold vs warm soft drink). So by putting the cart before the
horse they make a BS case that it is man's fossil fuels that are
producing CO2 which cause warming which will lead to disaster. In
fact, it's the opposite. the oceans are warming for unknown reasons
which drives off CO2 creating plant growth but not effecting global
climate change as far as we know.
Don't get me wrong. The planet is facing some VERY serious man-made
problems including pollution from fossil fuels especially the nasty
stuff that comes off of coal as we are forced to use it more and
more. We see dire chemicals in the oceans including lots of nasty
plastics that combined with over-fishing is leading to a food disaster
(made MUCH worse by the stupid practice of burning food for fuel!).
There are LOTS of serious problems out there which is why guys like
Algore need to be called for their lies as they are directing money
and efforts AWAY from the real problems and solutions for their own
ends. You'd think they don't live on the same planet we do!
To show the extent of the political AGW conspiracy one only has to
note Algore's Emmy, Oscar and Nobel prize! Clearly a LOT of "movers
and shakers" seem to have a stake in the "carbon footprint" scam!
