Louise Dolan of U. North Carolina Chapel Hill USA and Peter Goddard of
the Institute for Advanced Study Princeton USA in "Current algebra on
the torus," arXiv: 0710.3743 v1 [hep-th] 19 Oct 2007, 48 pages, derive
1-loop correlation functions for currents on affine Kac-Moody
algebras. They relate this to open twistor string theory which may
provide a good framework for QCD strings.
Currents relating to Mass via Hausdorff measure for example in
Cartesian scenarios or homotopy in semi-algebraic sets, or somewhat
differently Current Algebras on manifolds in QFT, have considerable
literature in arXiv. In the mathematics section of arXiv alone,
"current" brings up 186 papers, "current algebra" brings up 46 papers,
while in arXiv as a whole the respective numbers are 3620 papers and
131 papers.
Especially interesting papers are "Real homotopy theory of semi-
algebraic sets," arXiv: 0806.0476 v1 [math.AT] 3 Jun 2008, 45 pages;
"Partial regularity of mass-minimizing Cartesian currents," arXiv:
math/0403483 v3 [math/DG] 18 Jul 2004; and "Current algebraic
structures over manifolds: Poisson algebras, q-deformations, and
quantization," arXiv: hep-th/9603114 v1 17 mar 1996, 25 pages (one of
earliest papers in arXiv), respectively by Robert M. Hardt et al
(Hardt is of Rice University Houston Texas USA), David L. Johnson et
al (Lehigh University Pennsylvania USA), and Sergio Albeverio et al
(Institute of Mathematics Ruhr U. Bochum Germany).
