If a sound wave is emitted and passes into a region of higher
temperature, its speed increases. Is it the wavelength or the frequency
of the sound wave that increases?

Thanks,

Adam, neither.

Only the velocity of propagation changes. An analog is light in a
medium other than free space. Propagation velocity slows but their is
no change in wavelength.
