How couldGodthink or see with neither brains nor eyes?

We are living in a time when uncertainty is widespread. A time when
many are questioning current and mainstream dogma. Whether Christian
or Muslim, Jewish or Hindu, many find no satisfaction, no fulfillment.
World population is ripe for change, for re-focusing. Education needs
to be re-directed at a worldwide scale. We need to focus more on
Science and less on Religion. We need to toss away superstition and
magic and stick to proven facts.

There is no Universal Consciousness nor Mind,Godcan neither think
nor see until it turns into brains with eyes. In this sense, we truly
areGod'sservants.

I tend to think of it this way.  We live our lives, and some lives are
better than others simply because of the early choices that we make. I
really don't believe that some beneficientGod-fair enters into the
fate of any singular man or woman. Nature does, and nature obeys the
conscience of randomness, with no benefit to either the good or the
evil. Quite simply, nature doesn't care. Also, I have come to the
conclusion after more many years of life than most of you have ever
yet experienced, that all religion is little more than a control group
pandering to the psychological vulnerabilities of the helpless, and
that all priests, ministers, rabbis and anyone else clinging to the
cloth are lazy pretenders exploiting vulnerable people under the
ridiculous pretence that they are doing it in the name ofGodor The
Wizzard of Oz.

I suppose that the Moslems are the worst in this regard, because the
kill people for no reason at all.  Even withoutGod, that seems insane
to me.  Still something in me hesitates on the though of killing off
all the Moslems on Earth.  It's hard to explain, perhaps something
that came from my English, German, and generally Western Eurpoean
genes.

Nobody ever taught me this, but from deep down in my genes, something
defines my behavor.  I suppose that it would fall on these lines. If a
threat endangers my people, I would defend my people in honor to my
death. Saddm was a threat to my people, so his death was a good thing
in my opinion. (I really don't care much about the harm inflicted to
the good people in Iraq, but hopefully that ceased with Saddam's death

Now, without recourse to silly religous orientations, and beliefs in
the myths of an all caringGod, my personal morality directs me to
care for anyone in distress, by offering them shelter, medical
assistance, and getting their lives back together. Sadly, for the
reason that Coventry House suggest (Say, weren't they the same great
folkes that dissed Father Bruce who built Caoventy  House?), Although
not a religous person myself, I did respect Father Bruce's effort in
helping street kids, and although he freely acknowdedged that
redemtion was impossible with these kids, he raised funds for their
humanitarian aid.)  After seeing what happend to Father Bruce, we are
reluctant to open our home to some of those that need our help the
most, unless they are elderly. That failing, we turn our attention to
the the small wild creature that come to us for aid...Ever seen a deer
give birth in your garage, or a possum, fieldmouse or chipmunk, or
even a lone groundhog?

I believe that a sense or morality is something that is deeply
engrained in human genes.  Some humans have it, others do not. By
contrast, religion is something that is based on century old
superstitions, but still brainwashed into the minds of vulnerable
innocent kids that will haunt them into their adult lives.

Kids, there is no Hell nor is there a Heaven. No judgment day.

It's what you do in this life that counts,  which it you are lucky may
be remembered in some of your eulogies, and even inscribed on your
tombstone.

Harry C,

p.s..  If you've ever experience deep general anesthisia during a
hospital procedure, that's prettry much what death is. If you recall,
time simply stopped.  Not good if you want something more, but not bad
either.

Right, Nature dictates morality.

And you are right, being under general anesthisia is like dying.

No afterlife, no reincarnation... it is physically impossible. But
there is no death either, just renewal... materially speaking. Spirit
is one.

-------------

There are brains because there is spacetime, not the other way
around.

The universe couldn't care less, the day we are gone the universe will
continue as if nothing had happened.
