Why does "The Jewish Press" not want it published. I just don't get
it. You are not even advocating an end to settlements!
It seems to me clear that prudence would have dictated a more
southerly route for the Titanic where there would not have been a
problem with icebergs. This would have however have meant a longer
journey than the great circle that Titanic was following.
The real failing was the intensely competitive nature of "the blue
ribbon" where competition forced captains to take unjustifiable risks.
The moral is that racing should be confined to events like "The
Americas Cup" and passenger ships should have been discouraged from
racing.
Why do you claim censorship - interesting? I sure all valid theories
can be discussed.

Ian, realize that there are many people that actually enjoy believing
that their is a conspiracy lurking behind every bad event be in
Lincoln, Kennedy, Titanic or the WTC.
I'm personally not big on conspiracies, but I definitely believe that
there was serious professional negligence involved in both the design
of the Titanic and the WTC twin towers. Both disasters were triggered
by unanticipated events, but the underlying cause of both disasters
was motivated by the compromise of sound engineering done to save time
and money.
The Titanic was claimed to be unsinkable, but on striking an iceberg
sank. Buildings as tall as the WTC twin towers should have withstood
the impact of one of the many commercial aircraft that could be
anticipated as impacting into the stucture, but both towers collapsed
with the identical failure mechanism. Now one tower collapsing could
be viewed as rare anomaly, but the identical failure modes of both WTC
towers pretty much indicates they both shared a very serioius
structural engineering design flaw, and one does not need to search
very hard to figure out what that common design flaw is.
It in fact there was a conspiracy involved in with the WTC disaster,
it was a conspiracy to conceal the identities of all of the many
engineers, businessmen, and politicians with dirt (and blood) on their
hands as the result of cutting both cost and construction schedules
while. at the same time. ordering mid-construction design changes
without regard to the consequence.

p.s., It is perhaps ironic how justice sometimes prevails. On Titanic,
the ship's designer/naval engineer was aboard when it went down.
