Simultaneity

Hi,
I am not very knowledgeable in physics, so please excuse me if this is
a stupid question, which it is according to my friends.
Is it possible for two events to happen simultaneously?
To be clear, I mean simultaneously by the very definition of the word,
as in the EXACT same instant.
For example, given two events that are said to be simultaneous, I
believe it is possible to increase the measuring accuracy to such an
extent that it is found that one of the events happened before the
other. In other words, for any certain instant in time, would it be
possible to shrink the timeframe in such a way that there would be
only one single event happening in the universe at that time?
Thanks for your help
