Because they started their clocks simultaneously and stopped their
clocks simultaneously.

Starting and stopping clocks simultaneously... um... must take
relativity into account.


All that matters is the length of time between two moments.

And since their start event was simultaneous and their end event was
simultaneous, the length of time is the same for both observers.

Um, you need to go back to the literature of more than a hundred
years ago and start "catching up".
