What physicists are spooked by what superliminal information transfer?
No physicists are spooked, as far as I can tell, and no superluminal
information transfer either, for that matter.
Every time I hear about something that it superluminal, it turns out that
they're talking about an *abstraction* moving faster than light.
For example:
Think of a point in space right in front of your face. Next, one second
later, think of that point being right next to the Moon. That imaginary
point just moved from here to the Moon at twice the speed of light.
Can you use such a phenomenon to move information from here to there?
No?
I thought not. And I bet it doesn't baffle any scientists, either.
Really, I'd love for it to happen. Really. I want to summer at Sirius.
But it's like Godot: I long since gave up waiting and moved on.
