Darwin I know the dynamo theory and that is why at Earth's core its a

This is obvious even in your kitchen magnet analogs. However, I
suggest that experiments may be easier with powerful horseshoe
magnets, the type you can buy in a hardware store or scientific supply
company. My elementary school education included very simple
experiments with horseshoe magnets.
Simple experiment with horseshoe magnets, and any iron objects,
will convince you that magnetic fields pass through paper, aluminum
foil, copper plates, and almost any material that isn't "magnetic."
When I say magnetic, I am excluding paramagnetic materials and most
diamagnetic materials. A magnetic field WON'T pass through
ferromagnetic materials (like iron), ferrimagnetic materials, or
superconductors. A thin plate of iron will block magnetic fields
because it is ferromagnetic.
Again, try this with a horseshoe magnet and thin plates. Metal
cans can provide the thin plates you need for these experiments. Paper
is nonmagnetic insulator that you can use for some experiments. You
can first determine which substances are magnetic by picking them up
with the magnet. You can then place iron nails in the cans or on the
other side of the paper to determine whether the substance blocks the
magnetic field.
If you really need something visual, use iron filings. Iron filings
can be used to roughly trace the path of magnetic fields. Place the
filings on paper, a place the horseshoe magnet underneath the paper.
The iron filings will line up in a facsimile of some magnetic fields
from the magnet. You could do some visual experiments showing how
fields travel using the magnetic filings. However, I leave that to
you.
The fact that nonmagnetic materials don't block magnetic fields
is widely known, as well as easily validated by simple experiments. We
have both agreed to the fact that molten iron is not magnetic. I think
we will agree that the mantle has relatively small amounts of magnetic
material. A qualifier must be made for the mantle, as it contains
small amounts of magnetic material. However, basically the earth is
made of nonmagnetic materials. Hence the magnetic field generated at
the core by electric currents can't be blocked by the electric
currents.
Note I have not discussed what the field is made of. The
experimental fact is that nonmagnetic substances allow magnetic fields
to flow through them. I am surprised that a person who knows the
meaning of "Curie temperature" doesn't know that rock allows magnetic
fields through.
So what is this field composed off. Not electrons  Not photons
The facts that I spoke of can be easily verified without
knowing what the field is composed of. In classical electrodynamics,
the type you learned rather poorly in school, simply describes the
behavior of fields and charges. A field is an entity in and of itself,
as is a charge. Fields and charges have different natures. A current
is a flow of charged particles, a field is this string through space.
A description of what the field "is" will not undo the results of
the experiments that I just described. I could describe the magnetic
field as photons or little angels, and still it would pass through
nonmagnetic materials. The electric current would still be confined to
the earth's core, in the conducting material of the core. Thus, you
would still be wrong no matter what the field is composed of. However,
I close this post with a brief discussion of what the field "is.".
Quantum electrodynamics (QED) is a theory that has been proven
useful for predicting the results of several types of experiments. I
think most of these experiments require more than can be found in the
local hardware store. However, quantum electrodynamics describes
fields as the flow of photons.
In QED, there are real photons and there are virtual photons.
Electromagnetic waves carry real photons. Slowly changing
electromagnetic fields, close to the electric charges that generate
them, carry virtual photons. I do not want to discuss virtual photons
with you, as you immediately start signifying whenever you encounter
anything that you don't immediately understand. However, the behavior
of virtual photons is quite counter intuitive. If calculations using
virtual photons didn't accurately model experiments, I wouldn't like
them myself.
It goes through 4,000 miles of rock. A wire having electrons going
through it  the magnetic lines of force form circles around the wire.
Note that the field exists outside the wire. Furthermore, the
strength of the field doesn't decrease to zero. The magnetic field
strength slowly decreases with distance from the wire, and doesn't
equal zero unless the magnetic field from some other object cancels
it. According to the Law of Biot and Savart (remember them?), the
magnetic field strength decreases as a function of inverse distance.
 I
know the Earth has a magnetic field. my argument is no dynamo in Earth's
center with its temperature of 5700F would work as described in this
dynamo theory.
You are wrong. We have provided citations to you describing
dynamos that when scaled properly could work at the earths core.
Come up with a realistic way it would work. Not just
say it created a current of electricity, and this projects a magnetic
field that knows it should come out of the south pole curve through
space and go to the north pole.
I posted a link to the Wikipedia article that shows some
equations. I posted an article showing the results with a generator
using liquid sodium. Each of these articles gives a "why." Read them
and tell me what you think about them.
In reality this is happening, but no
great brain is telling me why it happens.
Y is a crooked letter |:-)
I like to question. I like my
questions answered with good science.
<LOL>
I want to know why an electron
charge can go at c and the electron can not.
You don't mean the electron charge. The electron charge can't go
at c. You probably mean the electromagnetic field. And you would still
be wrong.
An electromagnetic wave generated by an electron can move at a
speed c while the electron can not move at speed c. This is the
statement you are misrepresenting.
Another easy experiment will show this, with water waves. A wave
can move faster than the particle that generates it. Thow a piece of
wood or a light sponge into the water of your bathtub. A ripple (i.e.,
circular wave front) will emanate from the object. The wave will move,
the object will mostly stand till. It will bounce up and down a bit
(that generates the wave), but it won't wander from its spot.
I suspect a little thinking on your part will explain how the
water wave travels faster than the object that generates it. Extend
this to electromagnetic waves. Think of the "field" as the "water."
  I want to know why
Jupiter magnetic field is stronger than the Sun.  I want to know why our
moon has a magnetic field even if it is weak. I want to know why
imperial thinkers tell me Mars weak field comes from its surface, and not
its core..
Maybe these are mysteries. Or maybe you haven't tried to look up
the relevant articles. I am sure that no one is sure of the answers.
There are some interesting conjectures out there, as well as
experiments that support them. Look them up.
Well I like to think so rather than keep this argument going
I will theorize how the Earth's core can produce such a powerful electro
magnet.  Reality is it has to have some way to concentrate its magnetic
field. My thoughts are taking me to how I see a coil.  Possible bursts
of currents of electrons Hmm I'm thinking already. will get back to you
all.  It is interesting thinking and I love mysteries.,and earth's core
is a mystery  Bert
Are you going to recreate dynamo theory after all these posts
knocking it? |:-)
