Noone even remotly tried to explain why a closed system that is

I do not speak of a fueled system the gases is not  combusted, only
pressurized with exhited molecules exchangin heat.  HEAT<-------

This[1] is the Heretic program about Eric Laithewaite towards the end
of his career. It explains the battle he had trying to get the
scientific community to accept or even investigate his ideas and those
introduced to him.

Silly things like a gyroscope and a maglev train. I suppose he was
also a heavier than air flying apparatus believer.

Eventually he defeats the establishment by giving a xmas lecture.[2]

Of course the generated heat could be tranfered to actually help drive
the electromagnet and coil.

I guess i was thinking abit about your idea Sue, decided to use the
momentum from recoil for accelleration and let the "bullet" be
transformed inot excited gasmolecules that that is pressurised by the
coil and is transformed into heat.
Below a crue ASCI sketch, doesn't really work in googles does it.
1. Heavy metal surrounded by damper.
2. Small gaschaimber under pressure used for damping between
metalcore
and coil, coil reach equibrillium between the two chambers when not
accelerated.
3. The X represent coil in equilibrium by the pressure between two
gaschaimbers
4. Second pressurised gaschaimber with heat exchange membran
(The coilseparated gaschaimbers resides within a iron tube, the
second
chaimber extends into a discshaped chaimber with a membran  that
exchange pressurised gas into heat)
5. Around the tube is a electromagnet similar to railguns to
accelerate the coil and exite the molecules into produce heat by
pressurize the gas. The smaller gaschaimber above do only serve as
piston a rubber damper when the electromagnetic pulse stops the two
gaschaimbers try to reach equillibrium between their pressure states.
7. A water cistern/vessel against the heat exchanging material/mebran
8 A water turbin where the high pressured water spin turbin and coles
of being redirected back to  the watertank.
9 A generator that redirects the produced energy to the
electromagnet. .

Ok i admit  it is a steamship ;)

Well, build it. Then we know if she works :D

I've been thinking some more about a inertial propulsion design.

The system needs a cooler and an evaporator and a comressor/pump (and
of course an engine to drive it) mounted within a closed system
between two plates "basically a membran with a cold side and a warm
side.

The thrust from the top mounted pump is directed downwards the lower
plate is a plate evaporator so no waterthrust actually reach the
plate. The vaporised steam raise the pressure inside membran and heat
to level by raising upwards upperplate. Above the pump is a pipecooler
connected to the upperplate and with a vessel connected to the pump
inlet valve.

You get basicly a waterpiston directed downwards, with a right angle
recoil force upwards but the thrust force is leveled out into a
chaotic force by the vaporizer, where molecules pushing in every
direction and the plate will have a bigger force upwards to counteract
gravith and maybe levitate.

Could you store the action energy causing the reactive netmomentum in
a thermal loop?

How does the sun generates its energy by nuclear fusion of hydrogen
nuclei into helium?

Is it pressure of mass that cause the process of fusion, can gravity
alone cause oscillation, does it mater if the sun have planets or not
is it only size that matter?
