We had a case in Jamestown about 1960 where a full acetylene tank
slipped of a welding gas truck on main street, sheared it's top off on
impact with the street, and ended up going a couple of city blocks at
very high velocity as the gas escaped until it finally ending up going
through the front window of a diner, much to the surprise of the
noontime patrons. Luckily no one was injured or killed IIRC

If the building at the airport caught fire, it was my intention to open
all the helium cylinders before leaving so that they wouldn't explode
while the firemen were trying to put out the fire, and at the same time
the helium gas would fill the building and might help extinguish the fire.
One of the strangest pieces of video I ever saw was a fire in a aluminum
baseball bat factory, which caused the bats to rupture and head through
the windows of the building like RPG-7 rockets.
