Pedants will point out that Ranger et al "landed" on the moon, and that
Surveyors 1, 3, 5, 6, & 7 soft-landed. If we're going to count Eros, we
ought to at least count the Moon missions.

If you're going to leave out the Venera landings as well... you ought to
put a "sixth landing since 1983" in there...

Or do you mean "the sixth world we've attempted to land on..." (lessee
-- Venus, Mars, Moon, Eros, Phobos (attempt), Jupiter (twice, assuming
powdery bits of both Galileo & probe have drifted inward to the core).

Glad I'm not a pedant :-)
