yep, last time I was at KSC was 1978-ish, and we got to see Mercury
Control (way cool) and the VAB (impressively big but dull).

Sad thing was, I spent three months in JAX during spring 2002. Never got
down to KSC, and I had a deadline on the day that some fellow
contractors left early to watch a shuttle launch, so I totally missed
that. Saw some sort of unmanned launch when I was there in 78, though.

Stayed in Jacksonville instead, hoo boy :(
