35 million *for starters*.

And we've diverted a CVBG and ARG to the relief efforts, the value of
which is extremly non-trivial. (The value of the helicopters,
communications, flight decks, recce capability, etc... Not the cost
of the ships.)

Such a diversion means, most likely, that someone gets to float
longer, or earlier, than planned. Or maybe someone supporting the
Iraq war doesn't get relieved when planned, or someone else has to
leave earlier than planned.

In addition the Marine and Seabee equipment at Diego Garcia is being
mobilized to assist.

In addition maritime recce assets (also from DG) are flying patrols to
attempt to locate the missing fishing boats.

All this in *addition* to the initial 35 million in aid already
promised.
