To be fair, they did blame the resumption of unrestricted commerce raiding
as the immediate cause, but the timeline was so simplified and condensed
that it came across as though the sinking of the Lusitania brought an immediate
entry into the war by the US.
The incredibly "simplified and condensed" thing is the series' fatal flaw.
A condensed history of Manga would've been better :)
