"...But impressions turned to jealousy when Iliff later became
involved with the facility's greatest asset and everyone's sweetheart,
Mary Shafer. After that point, we did everything we could to make him
look like a goof in front of her. The usual tricks applied - the
life-sized inflatable love doll being stuffed in his chair to greet
Mary when she dropped by his office, a bucket of paint balanced above
the door he's about to open and exit through to a presentation he's
giving on lifting bodies, putting whoopie cushions in the seat of the
M2-F2 before he sat in it to show her the new cockpit arrangement,
substituting _Playboy_ centerfolds for important slides, etc, etc. We
even tried the 'wedgie in the hall' trick on several occasions, and
even a 'kick me!' sign or two.

Sadly, nothing worked, and Mary manged to get stuck with Ken despite
our best efforts."
