Stars showing in moon photos

Hi,

I've been recently scanning into my computer old family slides and photos,
and came across a colour transparency slide showing Neil Armstrong standing
at attention on the moon, next to the U.S. flag. This slide was one of a set
commonly distributed by subscription back in an era where many houses pulled
the family projector out for viewing high quality photos.

The shot obviously has high contrast, due to the lack of atmosphere, and
purely out of interest I increased the fill light in my image editing
software to see if anything else would come out of the darkness. All I
noticed was a few (6) faint stars appearing in the background sky. I thought
nothing of it until a few minutes later when I suddenly recalled that one of
key arguments of the moon hoax conspiritors was that there were no were
stars showing in any of the moon photos.

Well - I'm happy to post a photo of the enhanced (but not modified at all)
image for anyone who is interested. Maybe anyone who is really keen and has
astromony "night sky" software could correlete the relative position of the
highest magnitude stars from the position on the moon when this shot was
taken (sorry - don't know the exact date/time, but should be easy to
determine from historical records), to see if they are actually in the
"right" position.

As the slide I scanned is 35 years old, it certainly hasn't been digitally
altered! However, I'm aware that won't placate the conspiracy theorists, as
they would argue that the dim stars were doctored into the original "fakes".

Can someone let me know a suitable binary group or website where I could
upload the photo for those interested?

I also have one question. The dimmist star I can make out is several pixels
in diameter, but appears a very deep blue. Could this be Venus?

Cheers,
Tim
