Good question, I get the feeling that the pilots were A-12 vets and just pretty much learned how to use the new systems by notes and word-of-mouth.
I was surprised by all the handwritten graph paper tables in the SR-71 manual (I've got one also).
I always wanted more info on the M-12/D-21 drone operations (few that they were).

There are some NASA tech reports about the 58/A12 that I read 35 years ago.
Guess I'll have to find them the hard way...
