You ignore the fact that the scientists working in these fields often have
extremely different educations, professional experiences, and even personal
interests. In other words, scientists aren't as fungible as unskilled
labor. You can't take a team of scientists who's field is lunar geology and
stick them on a team that's trying to cure prion diseases and expect to get
results.

You act like lunar geologists have a right to a living. They don't.
They'll be out of work, prion biologists will get more jobs. Doesnt
have to be the same people.
