On Sat, 08 Jul 2006 23:05:03 -0400, in a place far, far away, Jud
McCranie <youknowwhat.mccranie@xxxxxxxxxxxx> made the phosphor on my
monitor glow in such a way as to indicate that:
I was wondering - what if the Apollo 1 fire had occurred in orbit -
especially if it was out of contact with the ground at the time. We
wouldn't know what happened - sudden loss of cabin pressure, hit by a
meteor, etc. Would it have been imperative to send up a mission to
find out what happened?
It wouldn't have happened in orbit, because the cabin pressure would
have been too low.
