You seem to be rather unaware of how a killfile works. Because no matter
who you killfile, if anyone else replies to their posting, you'll see that
reply (as long as the person replying isn't in the killfile as well).
That's the way killfiling a person (identified by the id in the "From:" line
of a posting) works.
My news reader (Gnus if you're not checking the headings) uses a
modification of killfiles which allows you to kill followups to postings
from people you specify.
