Re: Where were you when Viking I landed?

I was only seven years old at the time, and the most I can remember about
the event is learning about it at breakfast the next morning.

It was an interesting event in our family, as man walked on the moon for the
first time on my sister's 7th birthday, and Viking 1 landed on Mars on her
14th birthday. (Nothing space-related happened on her 21st birthday,
however...)
