organization - said a few years ago he'd heard something about this
being in the works for a while, but hadn't heard anything about it
since. What he'd heard was that the big holdup was whether or not the
Russian Scout orders would accept/convert the achievements Young
Pioneers as/into official Scout requirement fulfillments. Apparently
when you get down to brass tacks, the two organizations aren't really
that much different, so it was probably some bozo's desire to keep any
official recognition from occurring until all the kids who were born
under Communism were too old to participate as Scouts.
Yeah, I know...none of the 12 points of the Scout Law happen to be
Tolerant...
