they tended to want to go back to basics and work through the theory until

off copies of it to get an operational capability quickly.)
They did equip some with infrared detectors though, And I always wondered if those glowing red ball "Foo Fighters" were balloons with some sort of super flares on them to illuminate RAF bombers in the night for these I.R. viewers.
