It's not what you do. It's how you do it.

There was no other way to do it.

Doing nothing (keeping the prewar status quo in Iraq) would have been far
preferable to starting a war that has killed 3000 Americans, killed (at
least) scores of thousands of Iraqi citizens (whose families undoubtedly
blame the U.S.), and squandered untold financial and military resources.
Meanwhile, The Decider says he's "not that concerned" about Bin Laden. What
an insult to the families of the 9/11 victims!

The blame for this war lies squarely on Duhhh-bya & Company. History has
already shown that his logic for invasion, if not an outright lie, was based
on cherry-picked intelligence. Bush & Cheney shamelessly sold the war to
Congress and the American public by scaring them with scenarios of "smoking
gun...mushroom cloud" that he knew were false. Despite not having the
support to form a truly legitimate international coalition, Cowboy George
invaded anyway, with a woefully undermanned military force incapable of
handling postwar peacekeeping (as if he had any kind of postwar plan). The
resulting quagmire was entirely predictable.

Even if we "had to do it" (a false assumption IMO), not planning for postwar
stability is unforgivable. Given that the Bushies started planning to
invade Iraq at least 18 months before the invasion (some say they started
the day after Bush's inaugural), this virtual total lack of planning is
mind-numbing in its incompetence and stupidity. There were many other ways
to do this. The way we DID do it, could scarcely have been worse.

Bush (and his Republican supporters) are now paying the political price that
they so richly deserve. Too bad that the ultimate price has been paid by
the families of our 3000 brave war dead. The financial price will be paid
by the American taxpayers, perhaps for generations.

62 months after 9/11, and Bush is playing into Bin Laden's hands, staying
the course in destabilizing the Mideast. Meanwhile, Clueless George's
administration disbands the task force going after Bin Laden. Osama must be
laughing his ass off.

If the Democrats can't prompt a change in Bush's Iraq policy...

Support Our Troops!
Impeach Cheney, THEN Bush.
