Uh, what job? What's the mission that those modules would be for, that
the US isn't already doing?

I suppose that depends on what NASA considers "critical path".
Offhand, it could be useful if Canada provides, say, the robotics for
the "crawler" and perhaps the Rovers to move hardware around the
surface, in exchange for a crew slot or "rack space" in one of the
NASA modules. EVA suits, surface power systems, and long duration life
support systems are things Europe and Russia could provide.
