Paging Mr. Guth, Mr. Brad Guth. Please pick up the Venusian Surface
Clue Phone...

...oops, damn. Too late. The Venusian Surface Clue Phone has just
been converted to a molten slag pancake.

You've just got my undivided attention, as to the matter of the newish
planetology of Venus (specifically of the observed nighttime season)
being so damn hot and nasty, just as it should be if your *** were
residing upon an active lava or mud flow of whatever's molten plastic,
because the geothermal surface is so freaking active and thus
unavoidably hot in such places.

However, those 433°C locations seem a wee bit interesting, to say the
least.

Gee whiz, mike flugennock, I wonder why most all of our regular laws of
physics can not be applied as to robotics, and even much less on behalf
of village idiots like yourself surviving there. It must be because
there's simply too much local green/renewable energy to spare.

Of course, climbing yourself above that nighttime surface, as though
efficiently cruising along in a composite rigid-airship, it's getting
cooler yet by nearly 10 K/km. That is unless you are simply hell bent
upon cruising over an active gas vent or perhaps some nasty volcano,
which Venus (being considerably less old than Earth) has more than it's
fair share of such geothermal considerations.
