You also seemed to completely miss the baseball pun. Do they play
baseball where you live, comrade? :)
When's the last time you ever heard of a baseball team that had "The North Dakota XXXXX" as its name?
Our moment of baseball glory is down on display at the "West Acres" shopping mall in Fargo, that all of us might see "The Roger Maris Museum".
There are all the balls, signed.
There are all the bats, signed.
As my friend said, "There should be the mummified and stuffed body of Roger Maris...signed."
The museum was originally treated with the greatest respect, being four feet deep, forty feet long, and standing between a novelty gift shop and a exotic pet store as a window display.
But wonders have happened...due to the flagging economy of North Dakota and its super-malls, the Roger Maris museum has transmuted from a pathetic window display into a full-fledged Mall Museum!: http://www.rogermarismuseum.com/
By God! He'd be proud of that! :-D
