....From what I recall, that was pretty much the case. The Ruskies on
MIR didn't keep up their end of the bargain to learn at least enough
"Rushlish" to avoid major miscommunications. Other crews before and
after were reportedly better skilled in the translations, but this one
crew apparently "goofed off" during this part of the training. In
fact, ISTR one rumor going around that they'd bribed their trainer
with a case of good vodka to pass them.
Wouldn't be the first time something like that's happened in any
military...:-/
