Yes, I was aware of two-dimensional depictions,
and should have mentioned them. It's just that
I had come to my own independent depiction,
prior to learning of existing similar ones.
That's cool, it's always more fun to come up with something on your own,
even if someone else may have already done it. When I did IV&V on the
Shuttle Flight Software and had to verify a fix for some discrepancy, I
always like to start by looking at what the problem was, then find the
error in the code and or requirements on my own, then look at how they
chose to fix it,... I always felt it gave a better understanding of the
problem, before looking at the fix and verifying that it covered all the
bases. It also made a rather boring job a little more interesting.

i tend to derive things, rather than look up engineering
