I liked the glass cities that the gold covering on the face plates let
you see.
Actually the gold plating is to _keep out_ the UV light, as otherwise
you would be permanently blind in around ten minutes as well as having
severe sunburning on your face.

I have to agree with the author of the lnked article. Maybe the
reason I can't see it is because it's not there.
Where does he think these structures are, anyway? If they're miles
tall, they should be visible from earth. Maybe they're on the back
side.
