Probably something related to building the bridge between the twin peaks of Kilimanjaro from "Monty Python"; Mt. Everest tops out at 29,028 feet above sea level, and the average height of Tibet is 16,000 feet above sea level, so it sounds like he may fall over 13,000 feet on average.
I'll bet the Yetis get him after he's fallen only around a mile or so though, and the meat is tenderized from being beaten on the mountainside after around 6,000 feet of multiple impacts on the granite outcrops. :-D
