Can additional groups be added to the sci.space hierachy?

Sure. It's a well defined process. But do you really think that will
solve the problem?

It may not solve it, but it will aleviate it.

It will neither solve it nor alleviate it. The denizens of
sci.space.* are not well known for the ability to post messages into
the appropriate groups - rather they routinely post wherever they hell
the feel like.
