Konrad Dannenberg

Konrad, who was one of the original German rocket scientists, passed
away yesterday. He was 96. Konrad played a large role in the Apollo
program, as a Deputy Program Manager based at Marshall Space Flight
Center in Huntsville.

In addition to his work within the space program, he also worked to
spread his love of science and rockerty with "children of all ages".
I first met Konrad at Adult Space Camp in 1994. I will miss the
opportunity to listen to his stories of the rocket program and of his
life in Germany prior to his relocation to the US as a part of
Operation Paperclip.

May God be with his family and his wife, Jackie.
