That's just sad -- the money invested into SPS so far has been a
miniscule fraction of that invested into fusion, and success (if
adequately funded) is far more certain. SPS faces economic hurdles, and
some relatively minor technical challenges but nothing we don't know how
to do. Fusion, on the other hand, is decades away from being in the
position of facing economic hurdles -- we don't even have a clear idea
yet how to make it work at all. Yet fusion gets billing on the DOE home
page and SPS isn't mentioned anywhere (even on the Solar page).

So. This is the sci.space.policy group. How would we go about changing
this policy? What can we do to get SPS at least a bit of consideration
within the DOE?
