   Some have proposed that, too. Certainly we have the precedent of
Galileo's RTGs, even though it was disposed of in Jupiter, not because
it had radioactive components, but because it wasn't sterile, and left
uncontrolled, might've impacted and contaminated the surface of Europa.
(Volcanic Io was considered for a Galileo impact too...wastes could
possibly be sent there as well.)

   All in all, I agree. (Now if people won't take 'Space: 1999'
literally...)
