   How? Where's the aggression in flying with a piece of a collapsed
skyscraper? Al-Qeada might concievably bitch, but that'll carry zero
weight with anyone.

   And, so what? Where's it written that all space exploration must be
'peaceful?' There's no violation of the Outer Space Treaty of 1967 here.
And its provisions are all that we signed on for. If Clementine was okay
(testing SDI sensors against natural targets [specifically the Moon, and
an intended asteroid]), how is the above even slightly an issue for
anyone?

   This is no more a violation of any 'peaceful' nature, than the
'Fallen Astronaut' figurine left on the Moon would be, just because some
of the people it represents were in the active military at the time of
their demise...
