Err, they haven't found the slightest trace of life yet. Maybe it's a
liiitle early to break out the Champagne...

I hope - and believe - that quite the contrary will occur. Many people would
realize, that there is no need to believe in non-existing, supernatural
beings.

*IF* life is discovered - one way or another. But let's not forget, that as
of now, there is not the slightest trace of evidence of life anywhere else
but here. Personally, I believe that it's because there IS no other life -
anywhere. At all. Which is also the reason, SETI has returned no results so
far.

Instead of asking "what if there's life on other planets", we should be
asking ourselves "what if there ISN'T?" Maybe it's not until people realize
that we are completely alone, that we can start treating each other more
kindly.
