IMHO D-IV H is a dog. The engine underperforms, it gobbles helium worse than
a Ford Expedition gobbles gas, the foam is a never-ending headache, the
first heavy launch is likely to severely damage the pad, and Boeing just
doesn't impress me as a company that has done a thorough job of putting
together a well-engineered product. Boeing went down the wrong path pursuing
an all-LH2 booster.
Personally, I think LM's Atlas is a superior vehicle.
No, I don't work for LM or own LM stock. Nor do I work for Boeing. And my
opinion certainly doesn't reflect the standing of any company or
organization besides myself.
