It shouldn't be a suprise to see SpaceX acting like any other
government contractor now that they are one. Since their success is now
partly dependent on convincing the Air Force that they are a credible
space launch company, they are staying on message. Thus no public
explanation for why they had to delay the first Falcon launch, although
it seems obvious that they have had some major engine problems. They
don't know when it will be fixed either.
Hence the two month delay. That's a standard first time delay--two
months is soon enough to keep people satisfied that you're progressing
but far enough into the future to let people forget how close you
claimed to be earlier when you have to once again delay it in mid
March.
I would be suprised to see Tac Sat in the sky at the end of this year.
