Not utter nonsence. The military could not get those missles to go up
consistantly without blowing up. I think the Redstone was the first
missle that was reliable. NASA helped the military to fix their
programs. From then own the bosters were mostly military for a while,
mostly because NASA was busy with the Saturn series.
