That's true. There was no ark.

Not true, homosexual behaviour has been observed in a number of
different organisms. In humans sexuality often has little to do with
free will either, people are driven by inner urges.

If the idea is to propogate the human species and the chances are that
they're not coming back. They'd also sent intelligent scientists too,
if they can find some willing to go. Perhaps NASA could let us get
away from the fundie loons.

I don't know about those silly ideas, but if one couple was on space,
and the rest of us were killed, the extinction of the human race would
only be a matter of time.

The effective population size would go through the floor. Inbreeding
depression would be rife within a few generations, that is excepting
that with humans heavily k-selected there is the likelihood that this
couple would only produce babies of one sex (though they could still
have some incestuous gay fun)
