And once they were convinced, they found it very easy to believe stuff such
as Saddam's phantom purchase of uranium from Africa - even after they found
out that the evidence was false.
True Believers can be dangerous.
That said - Bush's decisions took guts. While he hasn't stood up to a
nuclear power the way Kennedy, he also didn't back away from supporting
soldiers who were fighting as his proxies as in the Bay of Pigs.
